The Department of Physics is located in the College of Science and awards both undergraduate and graduate degrees. During the period covered by the bulk of these records, Peter Gibbs, Haven E. Bergeson, and Eugene C. Loh served as department heads. This collection contains grant applications, correspondence, memoranda, and reports related to faculty research projects. Included are correspondence files of individual faculty mostly dealing with research projects and peer review of research articles written by others.
